Ada was content with most things in her life. Her job, family and appearance may not always agree with her desires, but it was never anything major. Her father constantly tried to set her up with billionaires, often ten to fifteen years her senior. While his persistence was admirable, she never enjoyed the men he picked. Truthfully, she was happy to be single. Mostly. Of course, every girl dreams of a fairy tale life, with a prince charming and a glass slipper. Ada already considered herself a princess, and had plenty of shoes that made it feel like she was stepping on glass. This left the prince charming, but she was quite content to wait patiently and wait for him to find her. Maybe she already found him- No, she couldn't think like that.
Where there was Ada, there was Seb. It seemed there was never one without the other, it just always was. They both came from wealthy families, and Ada's best friends was Seb's little sister. They practically grew up neighbors, for gods sake! She adored him in a the most loathsome of ways. As children, he had taunted her relentlessly, pulling her pig tails and prodding her with sticks. It drove her crazy. No matter how many times she told, he always continued. The males in her life were always very stubborn. For as long as she could remember, though, Ada had crushed on him, and it crushed her on more than one occasion.
that stupid boy, making a fool out of me! She'd thought to herself pretty much for twenty years straight. But she could never shake him. or the tidalwave of feelings he brought. with him. She hated it.
After a particularly long day of meetings, Ada found herself quite frazzled and in need of a drink. Or two. Or six. She left her car at her fathers firm, taking a cab to a popular pub conveniently close. Stepping out of the cab, she decided to get hammered, in all of her posh glory. It was all a bit of a blur after that. Next thing she knew, she was sitting alone in a booth, staring into the soul of an empty martini glass. It was frowning at her, and she frowned back. It really was a sight to see. She decided the glass was much too empty, and stood. Of course, her balance was shot, and she teetered instantly. A shoulder collided with her very being, and she knocked back into her booth.
"It appears i have fallen, and i am quite intoxicated."She slurred only slightly, looking up at the figure above her. Unsure of what else to do, she waved her fingers at the male as a sort of hello and propped herself up. Then she realized who it was, and Drunk Ada could only saw one thing.
"Oh.. fuck.."
