you're so good and you're so bad
that everybody wants to be your man
nicknames: Lo
age: seventeen
birthday: november 15
sexual orientation: straight
member group: senior
playby: elisabeth harnois
appearance: With her long blonde hair and bright blue eyes, Lola is an quite the beauty. Lola's hair is her favorite feature about herself and spends her time on it. She knows her eyes are pretty, too, so she accentuates them with makeup more often than not. Her face has a round, soft edge to it, and it's very heart shaped. It's always looked youthful, and people have told Lola she's going to age well, though now with her current condition that bullshit makes her laugh. There isn't an angular edge on Lola's body, though recently it's evident Lola's been losing weight. When formerly she was curvy, now her bones are starting poke out a bit, which is making that self confidence Lola has plummet, oddly enough. She's always liked her curves and doesn't want to lose them. She stands at a height of five feet six inches, and she's quite content with this. She isn't too tall or too short. Lola's ears are pierced twice on each side, though normally she just has studs in. Her hands are a bit small, but this doesn't really bother her at all. Even though her body's changing rapidly, Lola still walks with an air of self assurance - she doesn't want anybody at all to know how breakable she really is.
Normally Lola favors comfort over looks, though she does take time into her appearance and she likes to wear something that shows off her body's shape, especially when she knows the opposite sex will be around. She's always wearing a necklace with a key pendant. It's gold, not real gold, since it's wearing off after so much wear, but Lola doesn't care. It hangs on a leather cord, which she changes according to what colors she's wearing. It was given to her a long time ago, and she can't even remember what the reasoning was, but nonetheless Lola rarely takes it off.[/ul][/ul]

secrets: During the last months of the school year, Lola was diagnosed with medulloblastoma, a type of brain cancer. So far her family's kept the entire thing secret, making people believe her absence during the last month of the school year was due to mono, when it was really when she got surgery to remove as much of the tumor as they could and her first round of chemotherapy occured.
Lola's brother is a controlling freak over her. He worries about her safety 24/7 especially since her diagnosis - she humors him but really she hates him and the attention. He learned his ways from their mother, who has only tightened her grip on her young daughter recently. Lola feels trapped but she knows that her family thrives on their reputation and she can't tell anybody.
overall personality: Lola is popular and well-liked. She likes to speak her mind and she's often the first to complain to a store about their unsatisfactory services, and she's famous for getting free stuff all the time because of it. She never turns down a dare. She loves to flirt with boys, and she lets people believe that she's done more with a boy than she really has. Even though people say they are Lola's friend and they know her like the back of her hand, nobody really does, which is odd when saying she is outspoken. She keeps her family life completely secret, making up a few lies every now and then to alleviate people's questions. Why does she do this? Lola keeps some things secret like all people, but she seems to really like knowing things other people don't and seeming mysterious, therefore putting her in control of the situation.
Lola's a very emotional person, with moods changing frequently, and each one is fueled intensely. If anybody wants to describe the girl, it's intense. Lola feels everything on hyperdrive. It's a like a burst of emotions comes with every mood change. She can hide these sometimes, going with being so secretive, but she lets them loose every now and then, and if it's anger or sadness and it's directed at you, watch out. Lola's the type to plot revenge rather than forgiving and forgetting. She's fairly stubborn and will most likely do the opposite of what you told her to do. She's determined and will not stop until she gets what she wants or she's finished. She has big dreams and has every intention of reaching them.
Lola loves her friends even though she doesn't share with them. If she likes you, she's very loyal to you and is very generous and kind. Lola can get suspicious at times but it's mainly of her friends that are girls; she has a weakness for pretty boys and starts to trust them way too easily. She might even trust you if she's known you long enough. However, on the flip side, if you've gotten on the bad side of Lola Tamblyn watch out. Lola's a mess and she's full of contradictions, but she's worth getting to know if you try hard enough. [/ul][/ul]

overall history: Georgia and Eric Tamblyn were a young couple, Eric 24 and Georgia a simple 18. The first to get married out of her friends, Georgia was expected to be the first to bear a child. But years past, more got married, there were pregnancies, babies were born, and yet the Tamblyns remained childless after trying for a baby for so long. They had a room set aside for a nursery, but it had accumlated the posessions that didn't go anywhere else, essentially becoming a storage room. Eric had no idea what to do about his wife, who was becoming hysterical and begging Eric to "knock her up already". He even doubted his marriage to the much younger girl, as his friends had told him he'd end up doing. Georgia finally dragged Eric in to see a doctor, and it was found that Georgia was sterile; it hadn't been Eric, as Georgia had been quick to say upon meeting the doctor. It sent Georgia into a spiral of depression, as she was already reaching her breaking point by their lack of success.
Eric gently suggested the other options, such as adoption. Georgia knew she really didn't have another choice, so they found a young pregnant girl who was going to give up her baby. She picked the Tamblyns out of everyone else and all the crap was cleared out of the nursery, the crib was bought, and Georgia threw herself into this, hardly allowing Eric an opinion. The due date came and passed, and finally she had to be induced; Eric and Georgia were there by her bedside, as they had been the entire pregnancy by buying her prenatal vitamins and giving her money so she could supplement herself and their baby. Doctors had many medical acheivements in those days but things always happen anyway, and the mother died in childbirth due to severe complications. The baby was now theirs whether the mother had been planning to take him back or not, and they named the little boy Xaiver. He may have been a different nationality than the Tamblyns were, being half African-American, but they loved him all the same - he was their baby and nobody could tell Georgia anything different.
When Xaiver was a year old, Georgia got the itch again; she didn't want him to be an only child. Eric would have perfectly fine with only one, but Georgia could not be swayed otherwise. They eventually ended up with a beautiful golden haired baby girl, whom was already christened Lola Rose. They opted not to change anything but the last name.
The brother and sister grew up extremely close, due to their closeness in age. They were as different as night and day; Xaiver, the tan skinned boy with dark eyes, who had a weak will and was much like his adoptive mother, and Lola, the blue eyed blonde who bossed her brother around constantly, always getting him to play her games, not his. It was clear that Lola was a daddy's girl from the moment she came home, and she loved Eric's quiet love as opposed to Georgia's frantic and overbearing love. Xaiver was also contradicting his sister in the way he loved his mother more than anything. The two were arguing constantly, Lola more often than not winning, and the Tamblyn household was more lively than ever.
When the two went into school, Xaiver and Lola hung out with completely different crowds, and their lives only intercrossed when they were home. Over time Lola and Xaiver's roles changed, when Xaiver became just as overbearing as his mother was and Lola started to just succumb to him to appease his worry. When Xaiver graduated, he went into a bit of a fit since he couldn't protect Lola anymore; when he does this, Lola just sits and nods and smiles and inwardly rolls her eyes. People notice what Georgia and Xaiver are like, but Lola just throws them off the trail by saying nice things and how 'they really aren't as bad as they seem.' The only reason she does this is her family's reputation; her father is a politcian and what people think means everything to his job, so Lola zips her mouth shut. She only complains about her mother and brother to her dad.
A few months ago, Lola began exhibiting strange symptoms. At first it was just assumed it was a bout of the stomach flu, as Lola vomited now and again and she was listless and lifeless. She had a headache every morning, which made it even harder for her to get up out of bed. She tried to keep it all secret as she knew if it got out there would be panic from half of the Tamblyns. But when she became clumsy and fell over nothing, always dizzy, she was taken to the hospital where they performed many tests, including an MRI; the doctors found the tumor easily, as it was a fairly good sized one. The last month of the school year was when Xaiver planted rumors that Lola had mono, which explained them having to turn visitors away. Before anything happened Lola cut off all her hair and it was made into a wig, so nobody would know where chemotherapy started. Lola underwent a craniotomy, where the doctors cut out as much of it as they could. After she recovered, she received the first of seven chemo rounds, and she cannot lie and say she feels fine. She just tells people it's PMS and period symptoms, which they laughably believe. Lola has never been sure why her illness must be kept secret, but whenever she asks it's met with silence and a change of subject. She knows reputation is everything for the Tamblyns, but isn't making her hide cancer a bit extreme?
Nevertheless, Lola does it, and she's managed the illusion for a while now. It tires her out even more, but she can't get a break and just tell someone about her troubles - who in the hell could she possibly trust with this bomb? Lola puts on a fake smile everyday and faces the world, being simply reckless ever since her diagnosis. She's terrified of dying before she's done everything, before she's made the nessecary mistakes, before she even has time to live.[/ul][/ul]
