appearance: Corrine has dark brown curly hair that sits a few inches past her shoulders. It is naturally curly, and when she is feeling motivated to fight with it, she usually takes a curling iron to it just to neaten the curls up a bit. She has brown eyes, which she hates, and tan skin. She goes tanning rather frequently to keep herself tan. She stands at 5'4 and is skinny, not having any real "womanly" figure or curves.
She hates leaving the house without her usual makeup: eyeshadow, blush, bronzer, mascara, eyeliner, etc. Her wardrobe consists of a variety of colors and skimpy outfits. She likes most of her clothes short and/or tight, although she does have a few pieces that are more conservative, which is not a word often associated with Corrine. At age eighteen, Tracy Collins gave birth to a baby girl in a hospital with just her, the doctor, and the nurses in the room. Her parents were not present, and there was no boyfriend or husband to be seen. After cleaning the baby up and going through all the steps nurses do after a woman gives birth, mother and baby were left alone in the room. Tracy held the baby in her arms and light ran a finger across the babies cheek. "Corrine.," she whispered, an exhausted smile on her face "It's just you and me, beautiful baby girl."
5 years old
"Mommy, what is your job?" Corrine asked her mother, her wildly curly hair in a ponytail on the top of her head. She looked at her mother curiously with wide eyes, and finally her mother answered "I'm a dancer. Like a ballerina." Corrine 'oooohed' with interest and started hopping around the one bedroom apartment they lived in. "I want to be like you when I grow up!" she said excitedly.
10 years old
Still living in the same apartment in Beechshire, Corrine sat at the small table in the kitchen with a math book opened in front of her. It was 7 pm, and her mother had gone to work. She no longer bragged about her mother being a ballerina to her classmates, and she did not want to be like her mother, that she was sure of. Her mother was a dancer, but not a ballerina. She danced at strip clubs, and that was the only income that they had for all their expenses, besides the little bit of welfare they received from the state each month. Corrine never knew her father, and apparently her mother did not know who he was either, making it near-impossible to receive any kind of child support. Her mother's parents had also abandoned their daughter when they found out, finding it a disgrace to their family, and providing no help to them either.
14 years old
Corrine now found herself in some dirty, dark basement. The music was loud and she didn't recognize most of the people there. She had been invited to this party by a junior, and being a freshman she wasn't about to turn that down. He had driven her there, and he now handed her a red plastic cupped filled with a drink. She took an unexpecting gulp and it burned her throat, causing her eyes to water. She danced with the boy, and as the night went on they kissed, and eventually one thing lead to another. She had lost her virginity to someone she barely knew, and felt sad at first. After the initial sadness she brushed it off, finding it easier to not care and feel unattached to what had happened.
Age sixteen
"Honey, we are getting married." Tracy said to Corrine, and her eyes widened as she looked at the big rock on her mothers finger. She looked from the ring to her soon-to-be step-father that had a huge grin on his face, and she turned and walked away. His daughter, Olivia, had been beside her and crossed her arms, not saying anything. Corrine was upset. They had only been together for a year, why did she have to act so childish?
Age seventeen
Corrine and her mother had moved in with Calvin and Olivia before the wedding, and now she was the odd one out with the last name Collins. Her mother was able to quit her night job finally, and stayed home. Calvin had money, and that was obvious. Corrine and Olivia were complete opposites, Olivia being an introvert and more conservative. It would take a lot of getting used to living with them. Corrine was also getting over her first serious relationship. Her boyfriend of seven months had ended things, but she wasn't ready to let go yet. She started partying almost every weekend, and still loved having all eyes on her.
